PLAYERS ELIGIBILITY POLICY FOR VCA BCCI MATCH TRIALS

A player’s eligibility policy was formulated in 2005 and approved at ECM dt. 27.09.2005

The salient features of the policy are:

  1. Only players who have been playing cricket right from junior level in the districts of Vidarbha would be eligible to represent VCA.
  2. No player other than those eligible as above would be called for nets or any camps conducted by VCA.
  3. A non-vidarbha player can be considered if his parents are transferred or migrate to Vidarbha as prescribed in BCCI rules.

The salient features of the policy are:

A player can be eligible for VCA BCCI trials if:

  1. He has completed 3 previous years of studies in an Educational Institute in Vidarbha. (Production of mark sheet and certificates to this effect must be provided).
  2. He should have played tournament conducted by VCA affiliated Clubs for continuous 3 previous years and should have played minimum 50% of such matches in each year.
  3. The players should not have appeared for any selection trials of any other state Association for previous 3 years.
  4. In special cases, a player will be considered eligible if his parents are born in Vidarbha but due to their postings in other state, the players is born thereat.
  5. In all other cases BCCI eligibility rules will prevail.
  6. Confirming to the above criterias, non Vidarbha player will be eligible for selection only upto the age of 30 years. In all the above cases proper and genuine documentation should be provided.
