Disha, Latika to play for MI in WPL
Mumbai Indians picked up Vidarbha’s Disha Kasat and Latika Inamdar at their base price of Rs 10 lakh each at the players’ auction for WPL 2027 held in Kochi on Wednesday.
Disha is of course a WPL winner with the RCB in 2024.
For Latika, it will be her first exposure to the glamourous T20 tournament.
In all, 25 players were sold at the mini auction as the WPL franchises bolstered their squads.
Four other Vidarbha players — Mona Meshram, Shraddha Nabira, Gargi Wankar and Arya Gohane — were in the fray. However, they went unsold.
Vidarbha’s Bharti Fulmali has been retained by the Gujarat Giants.
