VCA State Panel Umpires’ Workshop was inaugurated at the VCA Civil Lines on Monday. The workshop will be followed by practical and written examinations to be conducted by BCCI umpire Mr Vineet Kulkarni.
Mr Kulkarni, who has been appointed as the umpires’ educator for the workshop and examination, will be assisted by VCA’s senior umpire Mr Abhijit Deshmukh.
VCA’s Hon. Secretary, Mr Sanjay Badkas and Hon. Joint-Secretary Mr Gautam Kale presided over the inaugural function held at the Bilimoria Hall. Chairman of the Umpires’ Committee, Mr Chandrakant Manke and committee member Mr Mangesh Khedkar were present on the occasion along with VCA’s BCCI empaneled umpires.
In all, 50 umpires are attending the preparatory classes which will conclude on 16th July. Practical exams will be held on 18th and 19th July, followed by a written examination on 21st July, 2026.
