VCA NEWS: VCA to host 1st T20 International between India and NZ at Jamtha on Jan 21, 2006

Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) is all set to host the 1st T20I Match of “IDFC First Bank T20I Trophy” between India and New Zealand, scheduled to be played on 21st January, 2026, at its International Stadium at Jamtha, Nagpur. This will be the first bilateral T20 match ever between India and New Zealand to be played here. The last T20 match played between India and New Zealand at Jamtha was in 2016 during the ICC T20 World Cup.

 

The Jamtha Stadium is fully prepared to host the match. Free and adequate parking arrangements have been made and free drinking water is also available.

The New Zealand team will arrive by a chartered flight from Indore on 19th January, 2026. Selected Indian T20 players will assemble in Nagpur by 19th January, 2026.

 

The match timings are as follows:

1st Session – 7.00 pm to 8.25 pm

Innings Break – 8.25 pm to 8.45 pm 

2nd Session – 8.45 pm to End of Play

 

SALE OF TICKETS TO VCA MEMBERS

The sale of tickets for the 1st T20I match to VCA Life Members and VCA-affiliated clubs will be from 13th January, 2026 to 15th January, 2026 from Bilimoria Hall, VCA, Civil Lines, Nagpur, from 9.30 am to 9.00 pm. The sale of tickets to Members will be done “OFFLINE” only.

 

A member, apart from his own Membership ID Card issued by VCA recently, can collect tickets on behalf of four (4) other members on the production of their Membership ID Cards issued by VCA recently. A member’s representative can collect tickets of maximum four (4) members strictly on production of an authority letter from each of the members along with their valid Membership ID cards issued by VCA recently. 

 

Each Life Member & Affiliated club is entitled to one (1) complimentary ticket in the air-conditioned Members’ box. The members can swap their member’s ticket with any lower denomination ticket, if they so desire. Apart from this, each member can also buy a maximum of four (4) tickets of any denomination.

 

The sale of tickets to Members would strictly not be made after 9.00 pm of 15th January, 2026.

 

Selected Schools will be offered tickets at concessional rates.

 

SALE OF TICKETS TO GENERAL PUBLIC
The Sale of tickets to the general public will be “ONLINE” through our official ticketing partner via their mobile application “District by Zomato” and also through their official website 
district.in”. The sale will commence on 17th January, 2026, from 10:00 am onwards. Each person shall be entitled to book up to a maximum of two (2) tickets only linked to one (1) mobile number and one (1) Email ID.

 

OFFLINE REDEMPTION FOR ONLINE TICKETS AT NAGPUR
The tickets booked online can be redeemed from 18th January, 2026 till 20th January, 2026 from 9.30 am to 8.00 pm at the Bilimoria Hall, Civil Lines, Nagpur only.

 

There will be NO ticket redemption counter at Jamtha.

 

All the ticket holders are requested to strictly follow all the “Terms & Conditions” printed on the reverse of the tickets & refrain from any deeds/misdeeds that will bring a bad name/ disrepute to Nagpur.

OPENING OF GATES

On the match day, the gates of the Jamtha Stadium will be opened at 4 pm (IST) (Subject to Police Permission).

 

OTHER INFORMATION

Ample free drinking water will be available. Spectators are requested to make cash payment only for food items purchased, as internet and network issues make ‘on-line’ payment very difficult.

 

VCA has requested Nagpur Municipal Corporation to run additional buses from the city to and from Jamtha Stadium. VCA has also requested Maha Metro to run additional services up to New Airport Metro Station. VCA has arranged buses for pickup & drop of spectators from New Airport Metro Station and VCA will also run shuttle bus services from the place of parking of VCA near Ultra Tech Cement Plant to and from the Jamtha Stadium T Point.

 

Each entry ticket is valid for one person only and NO RE-ENTRY will be allowed outside the turnstiles covered area, If the ticket holder leaves the main gate, the ticket holder will not be allowed to re-enter under any circumstances.

 

Briefcases, Carry Bags, Ladies Purses, Perfumes, Water Bottle, Food, Match boxes, Cigarette packets, Lighter, Tins, Knife, Musical Instruments, Pets, Umbrellas, Flammable, Toxic, Illegal or Hazardous Substances, Metal Containers, Transistors, Computers, Camera, Sticks of any kind or any other audio visual recording equipment for recording and /or Communication of match details/Statistics/Images, Firecrackers or Weapon are not allowed inside the stadium/ strictly prohibited.

 

Alcohol in any form is strictly prohibited inside the stadium.

 

Entry will be refused if the ticket has been defaced or damaged or tampered with in any way. Even if the perforation part is missing on the ticket, entry to the stadium will not be allowed. 


Foul, abusive or any form of discriminatory language; whether on account of race, religion or otherwise, unruly language or unruly or threatening behaviour will invite action as per 


Law including ejection from the ground and possible further action such as criminal prosecution.


Entry on the field of play at any time and throwing of any article is strictly prohibited. Any breach of security will be punishable as per Law.
